Jim Stewart, who brings his extensive experience as a builder and developer to each student housing community he builds, has seen three of his four children graduate from Texas A&M. When his middle son, Aaron, was a freshman at A&M, Jim began to explore options to purchase a home in the area. He discovered a noticeable lack of affordable, high quality, amenity-laden student housing for sale in gated communities. Duplexes abounded, but very little was available for purchase that offered an amenity package competitive with the more upscale apartment projects.

Armed with this information, Jim acquired land for his first gated community,Waterwood Townhomes, consisting of 170 units. River Oaks Townhomes followed, and quickly sold out as well. Now, he is building his most amenity-laden community yet, Lakeridge Townhomes, which, when complete, will comprise 289 units and a state-of-the-art clubhouse/pool/amenity area.
